Built by an engineer who has spent his career making operations run.

Portrait of Scott Tovsen

Scott Tovsen is ShipStar's founder and CEO. He's a mechanical engineer (University of Wisconsin–Madison, with a certificate in energy sustainability) who spent a decade running high-growth operations: COO of a robotics manufacturer he grew from zero to $4.2M in revenue in three years, with a utility patent to his name; general manager of a COVID-testing business unit he took from zero to $30M in revenue and 400 staff across seven states; the operations executive who led a $2.6M acquisition and merged an 80-person company in under four months; and VP of operations at a generative-AI startup that went from launch to acquisition in ten months. Before ShipStar he founded Resonary, a nonprofit impact investment firm, and took the Give 100 Pledge. He's shipped physical products out of a factory, run the back office of growing companies, and built the processes that keep them running.
